About the event
Exciting new technologies, and evolving requirements for lab design are changing the building design space at an ever-accelerating rate. When considering the challenges and opportunities provided by the current building climate, now more than ever it is critical to apply early-stage design tools to allow for flexible problem solving and to create a strong design foundation upon which exciting new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, can be layered upon. In this presentation we will explore design considerations and tools – including wind tunnel, computer modelling, and predictions generated using Artificial Intelligence – which can be applied in the early phase of lab projects to aid in meeting key design and performance goals. Furthermore, we will discuss how applying the right tools at the right time leads to reduced complexity in building systems, improving their robustness and resilience to future changes – be they due to climate, operational changes or technological…
