About the event
The CUBE project, created and developed within the EGNATON Knowledge Hubs, is a full-scale virtual laboratory building designed as a “reality test” for sustainable planning. It integrates interdisciplinary expertise to validate innovative, modular, and user-centric lab concepts through a comprehensive process. Emphasizing sustainability, health and safety, and lifecycle performance, CUBE combines advanced design methodologies, collaborative workflows, and flexible spatial solutions. The project demonstrates how digital planning, integrative design, and evidence-based validation can deliver state-of-the-art laboratory environments aligned with future research, operational efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Stephan Borger graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Berlin in the field of Architecture in 1988 and completed advanced studies at the Technical University of Berlin as well as at the University of Applied Sciences Switzerland in Business Administration in 2018.
